Assessing Digital Learning and Instruction

In my EDLD 5315 course, Assessing Digital Instruction, I have created an action research plan to implement in my classroom. The course started with learning about classroom-based action, a research plan based on the book Action Research: Improving Schools and Empowering Educators (Mertler, 2019). The first task assigned to this course is to create an action research outline. The action research outline contains the initial research question that I would want my research action to be about, the audience of my action research, and the methodology that I will be using in the process of my Action Research. I have chosen a topic about the impact of the blended learning station rotation model in 5th-grade mathematics since I am currently planning to implement the blended learning station rotation model in my classroom. The next step is writing my review of related literature, and this is a way for me to gain knowledge and a strong understanding of my topic based on previous research and articles that other people have already created. This also included the advantages and challenges of my topic and helped me determine which area needs more information or further studies about the station rotation model blended learning model in the area of mathematics. Next is developing my action research plan, which I will implement in my classroom. My action research plan includes a summary of my literature review, the research methodology I will use, and an implementation timeline. Throughout the course, I have also collaborated with my peers. We have been engaged in giving feedback and feedforward while brainstorming ideas through group me and blackboard discussion posts; this collaboration will be presented in the assignment of contribution to learning and the learning community task.
