Resources for Digital Environment

Resources for Digital Learning course focuses on ongoing discussion and analysis of many existing digital learning resources (e.g., learning management systems, games, simulations, micro-worlds, social media networks). As new digital resources are developed, digital leaders need to be able to understand and evaluate their practical value for educational use. This course allows students to explore new and changing technologies, applications, and approaches.

The course starts with brainstorming ideas for topics suitable for an educational publication. After this, a publication outline is created, which includes detailed information about the topic, the audience, and the websites where I intend to publish the article. Next, it drafts a rough draft for the publication. During this process I was able to collaborate with my peers and give feedforward about my rough draft. A rubric has been agreed upon and the at least 5 learners gave feedforward to my rough draft. Using the feedback and feedforward, the rough draft was edited to create a final draft. The final draft edits are mostly edits that can make the article more enticing and informative to the readers. I have also included my personal experience using IXL in my own math classroom. A media pitch project was also created which intends to entice teachers to read my article this also include a short description of the article and the intended audience, it also include resources and where I intend to publish my final article.
