I started the Technology course feeling lost, not knowing most of what the professor told us during the classes and course requirements. I knew very little about creating an EPortfolio, 3column, and BHAG. I started my spring technology classes journey by spending time collaborating with fellow learners by first creating a group me thread; I posted the thread link to the discussion board so that other learners who do not have a group would be able to join and collaborate and those who want to ask questions or insight will also be able to join. I first started by creating EDLD 5389 Group. I met some fantastic learners: Ana Quiroz, Caryn Tate, Brian Ariguzo, and Tiffany Wood. They patiently answered each and every question and gave amazing feedback throughout the course. During this collaboration process, a member suggested that a separate group for EDLD 5318 should be made to avoid confusion, and the GroupMe 5318 Collab was created.

Connecting and Learning
During the course, I worked on EDLD 5389, which is about creating alternative professional learning, and EDLD 5318, which is focused on creating an online learning course. I have incorporated these two courses by doing a needs assessment for my campus to identify what Professional Learning course my campus needs. Based on these, I created the online course based on the workshop phase and implementation phase of my professional learning. This means that the targeted audience of my Professional Learning and my Online course are the general education teachers of my school and district. During the professional learning, the participants will be joining the online course that was created in Canvas. These two courses have helped me learn and experience how these two courses work side by side and how Lamar courses are related to each other when planned.
KEY CONTRIBUTIONS
1. Contributed to and helped build your core collaboration group.
During the first week of the course, I created a GroupMe group that other learners looking for a collaborative group are welcome to join. The group was posted on the discussion board so that all learners who are looking for a group can join. I also joined a Facebook collaboration group that another learner created to enhance the collaboration process throughout the course better.
2. Provided peer feedback to your core group members.
I shared ideas on how to do the assignments, provided feedback on other learners’ work, and asked for feedback regarding my work. There was also an email chain that helped us communicate and collaborate as needed. I have reviewed every work my colleague has created, from assignment one to the last. I also commented on the post that the other learners have posted on the discussion board. I have provided them with some ideas on which programs they can use and what resources are available. For some of the EDLD 5318 courses, I could join their online LMS and even do one online activity that they posted. During the process, I gained some knowledge of EdTech tools that I can use in my classroom.
3. Revised all assignments and reflected on revisions in this contribution to the learning activity.
I got constructive feedback from my core group regarding my assignment for both courses. For example, a core group member suggested a checklist for the course so that the participants could track the assignments. That checklist was included in the PL plan and in the introduction of my online course in Canvas. The IA and the professionals also gave good feedback on my previous assignments. I have read and edited my work, from making sure the goals are written in a SMART goal format to alphabetizing the references and making the 3 columns more detailed. I also got feedback from the discussion board that helped me make my ePortfolio and decide which website to use for it. I could also ask questions and clarify the assignments in my class group.
4. Completed ALL of the course readings, videos, and supporting resources.
When I started the course, I felt overwhelmed and lost with all the readings and videos that I needed to do within certain weeks. I found a checklist of what to do online, and I used it as my guide not only for readings and videos but also for assignments.I have completed and watched all the course readings and videos and also have watched and read some of the supporting resources in the course, such as how to fix a bad PowerPoint. I was also able to attend all the web conferences and able to collaborate during the sessions. I loved attending the live sessions rather than watching the recordings because I could ask for clarifications and get immediate feedback.
5. Met the various course activity deadlines indicated in the calendar.
I am confident that I met almost all the deadlines and was able to submit some of the assignments weeks in advance. I could post on all the discussion boards on time and respond to other people’s posts. I ensure I finish my assignment beforehand so my group can give me feedback and ample time to edit my work. I would edit the digital version based on their feedback before the due date.
1. Took leadership responsibility in your base group and the course.
During the course's start, I did not know anyone and decided to create a GroupMe chat for the course. There, I took the initiative to create a core group; everyone else is welcome to join. I also reached out individually to some of my core to ask questions or clarify. I was able to participate during the discussion actively and give feedback as needed, not only to the core group members but to all members that need help.
2. Contributed to your learning and your colleagues' learning by participating in ALL activities.
I participated in all the class discussion posts for both courses and collaborated in them. I attended all the classes and even reviewed and rewatched the recording as needed. For EDLD 5389, I participated using the online tools that Dr. Reed was using, such as the Google Slide activity and the Padlet activity.
3. Active contributions in the various course forums.
I posted all of my initial posts on the discussion board before the due date and was able to give feedback to my peers on the discussion board. I respond to peers' questions and give constructive feedback both on the Blackboard discussion board and in the GroupMe chat. I utilize the Student/ Faculty Lounge to interact with fellow learners for both courses. I attended the online classes and even rewatched some of them to make sure I was able to hear information correctly and ask the professors questions as needed. I could also stay back one time after the live session to collaborate with a fellow learner and learn how to start my ePortfolio.
